I burn the logos onto the canvas with a branding iron - just like they burn into us. Then the surface is closed with epoxy – the burnt logo is protected – from what? The consideration shows the discrepancy between burning with and through the logo and sealing and protecting the canvas. It is as if we were watching the transformation from behind a screen and yet stopped. Each work of art is unique and cannot be reproduced.

There is no getting around them, the signs of the times brands, logos and their worship. One is not free from them and they have their function! After many decades in advertising and a lifetime as a consumer, these artworks are my genuflection. Coming from a family of artists, I spent several decades as an agency owner and freelancer producing and creating advertising. After many years, these works of art are my summary of this time. For me they show the beautiful and luxurious and also the transience to which we are permanently exposed in a perfect way! To combine both is my art.
